"How Rhum Academy is helping me reach my goal? At this time, I am a "bedroom guitar player". My goal is to make better emotional noises with my guitars at home. And I like out of the mainstream music. Even when Gary has never heard the song before, it does not take him long to be able to teach me the song. The lessons feel like improvement is being gently pulled out of me instead of feeling like a struggle. As a grandmother I have watched 2 of my grandkids grow under the instruction of teachers at Rhum Academy. They have come so far in their ability to sing and play and I have watched their eyes light up when they realize "Hey, I can do this". Music is so important to their future, whether they go on to make it part of a career or whether they just continue to enjoy it personally. It gives them a solid base of confidence and something to belong to and be good at as they enter their teen years. Can't say enough about the dedication, intergrity and just genuine love for the kids shown by all the Rhum Academy music instructors. Faye Taylor
